I get very frustrated at people who say that faith is “blindly believing” because it is not. Faith is a substance. It’s the substance of things hoped for. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.

It happens that the world is for the most part, running opposite to the Word of God. God tells us His truths, but we have to look very hard to find them. The world system functions opposite of God’s system.

Faith is believing and trusting and relying on God and His Word when everything in the world is the polar opposite of what God has said. We need to keep believing, and THEN we will see.

When we pray in faith, we “call those things that be not as though they were.” We call them into the earthly realm of existence with our faith-filled prayers. So Faith is not “nothing”– it is a substance.
